Korean film posters

here are some more martial arts posters except this time they are from Korea. many HK stars filmed movies there as the cost was much less and also local productions catered to the local fans of these stars. HK films were very popular all over Asia. Korean and HK versions many times had different footage filmed by local directors to appeal more to the local audience in the territory it was released in. the art of posters are unique and are very beautiful with a realistic pastel colored design. they are very rare and if you do find them very expensive.
Korean films from this era themselves are difficult and near impossible to find I have a few of them they are awesome!

fan projects

its good to see some fans adding subs and english dubs to nicer prints and offering them to all fans. there is so many films out there that need attention and the big companies just keep putting the same films out time after time. so bravo to the guys taking time to do this work. it doesn't pay well but the rewards are greater.

as long as no one is under cutting the legit releases i don't see a problem with it. many of these films have no chance of being released ever again but to the films that do have a chance to be released greed should not get in the way of a legit release.

HK poster art

i have a love for movie posters. i really like the hand painted ones unlike the photoshop stuff they make now a days. don't get me wrong i'm not disrespecting photoshop artists because i know many good ones. i simply prefer the hand drawn type from the 70's and 80's. the 90's have some interesting cut and paste photo based stuff but nothing can touch the hand painted stuff.
